PRIMUS POWER HOSTS VISIT BY DR. CHERYL MARTIN,
ACTING DIRECTOR OF THE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY–ENERGY (ARPA-E)
    

   
HAYWARD, Calif., May 1, 2014 – Today, Primus Power welcomed Dr. Cheryl Martin to its Headquarters in Hayward. Dr. Martin is Acting Director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E). Additionally, she leads ARPA-E’s Technology-to-Market program which helps breakthrough energy technologies succeed in the marketplace.

CEO Tom Stepien showed Dr. Martin an EnergyPod® - the company’s zinc-based flow battery that decouples instantaneous electricity demand from supply. The product promises to bolster the stability and security of the electric grid, and help accelerate the penetration of wind and solar energy – with superior economics when compared to conventional solutions. The first EnergyPods will be shipped to customers within a  year.
